Rippit Golf Swings Into Action as Major 2025 Sponsor of Lakers Basketball

It’s a passion for the sport itself that drives the highly successful entertainment destination known as Rippit Golf.

Located in the heart of Broadmeadow, just a golf swing from Newcastle Basketball stadium, the growing business is testament to the connection between sport and community.

Home to an 18-hole mini-golf course and 16-bay driving range, the address attracts golf enthusiasts of all ages and all skill levels.

It is the only one of its kind in the Hunter region.

It regularly hosts golf pros keen to flex their talents and share their knowledge with visitors throughout the year.

Now owners Aaron Spalding and John Schneider, and their new general manager Will Stubbs, are pledging to support local by becoming a major 2025 sponsor of Lakers Basketball Club.

“It’s part of our commitment to support local,” says Will.

“Rippit Golf is the bi-product of a love for golf and a love of sharing our love of golf with the community.”

Since it opened its doors late 2022, the address has continued to grow, with Will hinting franchises may be available in the near future.

“We can’t say too much, nothing is concrete yet, but yes there’s more to come.” he adds.

“By mid-year we’ll have more exciting news to share.”

Rippit Golf boasts an all-day kitchen and fresh function spaces that, like basketball, is not governed by weather.

“We can operate no matter what the season, and our technology upgrades are allowing us to offer even more options.

“We’re also looking to upgrade our menu and our ability to offer even more options for community businesses and charities.”

It also has links to the sport it has opted to support.

From Will, who’s daughter represented Newcastle and NSW on the court, to the addition of recently retired NBL, WNBL, Rio and Tokyo Olympics referee Scott Beker, who has joined its employee list.

Lakers members are encouraged to return the support by purchasing a bucket of golf balls and having a go, staying for a meal and testing their skills against simulators that boast more than 500 worldwide golf courses.
